Introduction: Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) continues its commitment to community empowerment with the successful rollout of the TB in the Workplace (TBWP) workshop at the Ramada by Wyndham Manila Central in Binondo, Manila, last December 1-2, 2022. Building on the success of previous workshops held in partnership with the Region IV-A and Region III TBWP teams, this initiative aims to educate informal and high-risk sectors about the impact of tuberculosis (TB) on public health and dispel misconceptions, stigma, and discrimination against individuals with TB.

Uniting to Tackle TB: Collaboration remains at the heart of this crucial workshop, with representatives from 20 cluster groups attending from the National Capital Region (NCR) TBWP Team. Together, they came to acknowledge TB as a public health concern that requires urgent attention. The workshop's multifaceted approach equips these cluster groups with vital tools and knowledge to address TB in their workplaces effectively.

Fostering Change through Knowledge and Policy: Throughout the workshop, participants actively engaged in information dissemination, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility in managing TB. Moreover, the event facilitated the formation of a social and behavior change communication plan, encouraging positive action towards TB prevention and treatment. Notably, policy formulation discussions empowered the cluster groups to enact meaningful changes within their workplaces to address TB concerns proactively.

Heartfelt Gratitude to Supporters: CFI extends heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Lusog Baga, Breathe Free PH, Philippine College of Occupational Medicine, and Evident for their unwavering support. This collaborative effort highlights the collective dedication of various organizations towards achieving a TB-free future in the workplace.

Conclusion: As CFI's TB in the Workplace workshops continue to gain momentum, the impact on affected communities becomes increasingly apparent. By educating and empowering cluster groups across different regions, CFI is fostering a culture of awareness and responsible action against TB. With the invaluable support of like-minded organizations and government agencies, CFI's initiative is making meaningful strides towards achieving a TB-free workplace, ultimately enhancing public health for all. #endtb #endtbintheworkplace #CFITBintheWorkPlace
