CFI successfully implemented a TB Active Case Finding (ACF) activity in Barangay Poblacion, Batuan, Masbate, strategically set at the Batuan Fish Market to reach a wider segment of the community. Conducted in collaboration with the Purok Kalusugan initiative and in close coordination with the Rural Health Unit, the activity provided onsite TB screening and diagnostic services to 161 individuals.
By delivering essential health services in a high-traffic public space, the initiative significantly improved access, reduced barriers to care, and strengthened early detection efforts within the community.
This intervention underscores a shared commitment to reaching underserved and geographically isolated populations with timely and life-saving TB services. This was made possible through a strong partnership with the Bicol Center for Health Development, the Local Government Unit of Batuan, Barangay Health Workers, and the PBSP ACCESS TB Project, demonstrating the impact of coordinated, community-driven approaches in advancing equitable healthcare access.
