An Active Case Finding activity was conducted at the Lucban Rural Health Unit in Brgy. Abang, Lucban, Quezon, the Art Capital of Quezon Province, is best known for its world-famous Pahiyas Festival, colorful culture, and warm, welcoming communities.
During the activity, 158 residents were screened, and 13 presumptive TB patients were identified for further evaluation and care. Bringing essential TB services directly to the community ensures early detection and timely treatment for those who need it most.
Lucban is more than just a cultural gem; it is a town where tradition, art, and community spirit thrive. This initiative would not have been possible without the support of the Department of Health CHD Region 4A, Quezon Provincial Health Office, PBSP, Lucban RHU, and the local government unit.
Through collaboration and care, we can reach even the most vibrant communities and continue moving closer to a future free from tuberculosis.
