Palawan MPAs and Women’s Group Win Special Awards at 2024 PEARL Awards

Balisungan Marine Protected Area (MPA) and the Shalom Women’s Biodiversity Conservation Association were honored with special awards at the 2024 PEARL Awards and 3rd Palawan MPA Summit, held on September 26-27 in Puerto Princesa City. Balisungan MPA won the “Best Mangrove” award, while Shalom Women’s Biodiversity Conservation Association was recognized as the “Best Women-Managed Area.” Both organizations have been project partners of CFI in the Fish Right Program and GForest Mangrove Reforestation efforts in Coron, Palawan.
