CFI held a courtesy meeting with the Tagbanua Tribe of Barangay Carabao, Culion, a recognized Ancestral Domain, last January 31, 2025. As an organization operating in the area since the early 2000s, CFI sought and successfully obtained Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) from the tribal council for its health, food security, environment, and education programs in 2025.
Furthermore, in compliance with the Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997, CFI is now undergoing accreditation with the NCIP Regional Office to ensure full adherence to regulations governing ancestral lands.
