The training, titled “Pagsasanay sa Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment para sa Community Navigators”, focused on delivering in-depth knowledge on the programmatic management of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) and TB Preventive Treatment, aligning with the Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
The event also facilitated meaningful engagement between community navigators and key health stakeholders, including representatives from the Center for Health Development Region IV-A, Provincial Health Office, Provincial DOH Office, Municipal Health Offices, Rural Health Units, and Montalban Laban Lungs.
Capitalizing the unique niche and the relatively untapped potential of CBOs such as the Montalban Labang Lungs, the Oplan Manunuyod project aims to capacitate community navigators in conducting contact investigation for TB.
