On April 30, 2025, Culion Foundation’s ongoing Active Case Finding (ACF) activity in Castilla, Sorsogon received a major boost with the deployment of a new mobile X-ray unit launched by the Department of Health โ€“ Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP).
This newly launched mobile health unit doesn’t just offer free chest X-rays, but it also plans to provide electrocardiogram (ECG) tests for individuals aged 40 and above, and chest X-rays for children aged 14 and below. These expanded services reflect a growing commitment to early detection and accessible health care for all age groups.
This milestone was made possible through a strong collaboration between PBSP, Culion Foundation, Inc., and the Local Government Unit of Castilla. Together, we continue to bring life-saving health services directly to communities, especially where they are needed most.
