CFI and GCash GForest Drive Sustainable Livelihood in Culion

News

As part of the Foundation’s push for community-led and people-centered approach to development, CFI provided seed capital to Halsey Integrated Association for Development (HIAD), a CFI-organized peoples organization in Culion, Palawan, to support the latter’s environmentally friendly livelihood enterprise. Income from this livelihood project will be used to support environmental conservation efforts in the municipality.
Livelihood support was made possible through the Foundation’s partnership with G-XChange, Inc. via its GCash GForest program and is synergistic with the goal of CFI’s Environmental Program of reducing community’s reliance on natural resources.
