Culion Foundation, Inc. is honored to bring Active Case Finding (ACF) to the islands of Burdeos and Polillo, Province of Quezon. These islands face several challenges, including limited access to medical facilities and health services due to their remote location. Building on the initiative of the municipal government from the previous year, CFI is extending its support to these islands, helping communities improve healthcare accessibility, especially to our fisherfolks. As part of CFIโ€™s mission this year, the ACF-4A team reached vulnerable groupsโ€”including senior citizens, fishers, and individuals with limited healthcare accessโ€”by utilizing portable X-ray technology to detect, treat, and prevent tuberculosis early. From February 12-14, 547 beneficiaries in Brgy. Calutcot, Brgy. Carlagan, and Brgy. Poblacion received free chest X-rays, while 518 beneficiaries in Brgy. Languyin, Brgy. Poblacion, and Brgy. Taluong received free chest X-rays from February 17-19. CFI is committed to improving healthcare accessibility for communities in the ongoing fight against TB.
