The Provincial Health Office of Camarines Norte, in partnership with the Department of Health – Bicol Center for Health Development and local government units, officially launched the Tuberculosis (TB) Active Case Finding (ACF) campaign to strengthen the province’s efforts toward a TB-free Camarines Norte.
Culion Foundation, Inc., together with the mobile x-ray team of the Bicol region, gathered local health officials, municipal health officers, barangay health workers, and community leaders to promote early detection and treatment of TB.
Through the ACF strategy, health teams will proactively visit communities to screen and test individuals with possible TB symptoms, ensuring that no one is left undiagnosed or untreated. This initiative supports the national goal of ending TB as a public health threat.
The event concluded with a symbolic pledge of commitment and a mobile chest X-ray activity, marking the start of intensified ACF operations across the province’s municipalities.
