Fifty years ago, our founders planted a mission in Culion rooted in a simple yet powerful belief: that every person deserves the opportunity to live a healthier, more dignified life.
During CFI’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in Culion, Palawan, last June 9, 2026, Chairperson Alberto A. Lim reminded everyone that this milestone is more than a commemoration of the years that have passed. It is a celebration of lives transformed, partnerships forged, and communities that have journeyed with CFI through generations of change and progress.
As Culion transformed over the decades, so too did the work of Culion Foundation, Inc. What began as a response to the challenges of leprosy evolved into a broader commitment to advancing health, empowering families, and strengthening communities. Yet throughout every chapter of its journey, CFI has remained guided by the same enduring purpose: to serve with compassion and to walk alongside the people and communities it seeks to uplift.
As we celebrate this golden milestone, we honor the past while looking ahead with hope. Guided by the legacy of those who came before us, we reaffirm our commitment to building healthier, stronger, and more empowered communitiesโensuring that the mission that began fifty years ago continues to create lasting impact for generations to come.
