Barangay Poblacion 4 in Indang, Cavite carries a rich history dating back to 1655. While rooted in tradition, it continues to grow as a community that blends a quiet, rural atmosphere with the accessibility of a town center, offering both comfort and progress to its residents.
CFI conducted an Active Case Finding (ACF) in Barangay Poblacion 4 to bring tuberculosis (TB) services closer to the community. A total of 153 individuals were screened. Participants were also provided with snacks, bottled water, and soap during the activity. Despite the hot weather, residents actively took part, demonstrating strong health awareness and a shared commitment to early detection and prevention.
This initiative highlights what can be achieved when communities and partners work hand in hand. With the support of the Center for Health Development CALABARZON (CHD IV-A), Provincial DOH Office (PDOHO) Cavite, Provincial Health Office (PHO) Cavite, Local Government Unit of Indang, Indang Rural Health Unit (RHU), PBSP ACCESS TB Project, and the active participation of the community, efforts like these continue to drive us forward in building healthier, TB-free communities.
