On this day, ๐ฏ๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ, we remember one of our founders, ๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ข๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น, ๐ฆ๐, fondly known as Father Ola.
As the chaplain of Culion, then the worldโs largest leprosy colony, Father Ola saw beyond the disease. He saw people who deserved He stood beside them as a comforter, advocate, and friend.
He turned his compassion into action. He raised funds to
He wrote thousands of letters seeking support from around the world and tirelessly advocated for the introduction of ๐บ๐๐น๐๐ถ-๐ฑ๐ฟ๐๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ (๐ ๐๐ง) in Culion.
In ๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ณ, he witnessed the first group of patients declared curedโa milestone made possible through years of perseverance and partnership.
Father Olaโs kindness became more than a personal mission. It became the foundation of an enduring legacy through the ๐๐๐น๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ป๐ฐ., which continues to serve and uplift those in need today.
