Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) successfully conducted an Active Case Finding (ACF) activity in the coastal municipality of Balatan, Camarines Sur, reaching a total of 151 patients.
Through this initiative, essential tuberculosis (TB) screening and services were brought directly to the community, helping reduce access barriers and promote early detection. As part of the activity, a TB 101 session was facilitated by a CFI staff member, equipping participants with key information on TB prevention, symptoms, treatment, and the importance of early consultation.
This activity was made possible through the strong collaboration of the Bicol Center for Health Development, Provincial Health Office of Camarines Sur, Local Government Unit of Balatan, Rural Health Unit of Balatan, Barangay Health Workers, and PBSP ACCESS TB Project, demonstrating the impact of coordinated, community driven approaches in advancing equitable access to healthcare.
