The Don Jose Soriano Sr. Golden Cup reached an exciting finale as Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) crowned the champions of its Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton tournaments during the Foundation’s 50th Anniversary celebration on June 5โ6, 2026. Named in honor of Don Jose Soriano Sr., one of CFI’s three founders, the Golden Cup celebrates not only athletic excellence but also the values of teamwork, discipline, and community.
Emerging as Basketball Champion was Ate Jams, whose determination, teamwork, and resilience earned them the tournament title. Desert Fox claimed the Volleyball Championship, demonstrating consistency, unity, and perseverance throughout the competition. The Badminton Championship was won by Charles Z. Paredes of Desert Fox, whose skill, focus, and sportsmanship distinguished him on the court.
Beyond the trophies and titles, the Golden Cup celebrated the spirit of friendly competition and community that has long been part of CFI’s journey.
