From February 11โ13, 2026, TB ACF Region IV-A successfully conducted a 3-day Active Case Finding activity in the historic town of Sariaya, bringing free and accessible TB screening services directly to the community.
A total of 486 individuals received free chest X-rays, leading to the identification of 75 presumptive TB patients who were promptly referred for further evaluation and proper management through established health facility systems.
This initiative was made possible through the strong collaboration of Department of Health โ Center for Health Development CALABARZON, Quezon Provincial Health Office, Quezon Provincial DOH Office, Philippine Business for Social Progress, Sariaya Rural Health Unit, and the Local Government Unit of Sariaya.
By strengthening early detection, community screening, and linkage to appropriate care, we continue to safeguard not only Sariayaโs legacy of resilienceโbut more importantly, the health of its people.
