On May 18, 2026, the Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) and the Embassy of the Czech Republic formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the 2026 Small-Scale Project, “𝘝𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺.” Ambassador Karel Hejč and CFI Executive Director Eugenio M. Caccam, Jr. represented their respective institutions during the signing ceremony.
The project aims to strengthen disaster preparedness and risk communication through a multi-channel communication system across eight high-risk barangays in Culion, helping communities become more informed, connected, and resilient during emergencies and disasters.
More than a formal agreement, the signing marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership anchored in a shared commitment to building safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
