As part of CFI's Golden Anniversary celebration, the Don Jose Soriano Sr. Golden Cupโnamed in honor of one of CFI's three foundersโbrought together eight teams and 160 players for two days of friendly competition, camaraderie, and community spirit on June 5โ6, 2026, at Balala Elementary School and Loyola College of Culion.
Participants competed in basketball, volleyball, badminton, darts, and chess, showcasing not only athletic skill and determination but also the values of teamwork, respect, and perseverance. Every match strengthened connections and fostered a deeper sense of unity among players, volunteers, and supporters.
More than a sporting event, the Golden Cup honored Don Jose Soriano Sr.'s legacy of leadership and service while celebrating the people and communities that have been part of CFI's journey for the past five decades. It reflected the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose that continues to guide the Foundation's work.
