From its humble beginnings as a rural and coastal settlement sustained by farming and fishing, Barangay Sabang in Naic, Cavite has grown into a developing residential community. Shaped by history and steady urban expansion, it continues to evolve alongside the progress of the municipality.
CFI conducted an Active Case Finding (ACF) in Brgy. Sabang to strengthen early detection of tuberculosis (TB) in the community. A total of 152 residents were screened. To support community participation, CFI also provided free snacks and bottled water, while Naic RHU also shared snacks and extended free HIV testing services, with 25 individuals screened, promoting accessible and integrated health care for all.
The success of this activity reflects the power of collaboration in delivering community-based health services. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Center for Health Development CALABARZON (CHD IV-A), Provincial DOH Office (PDOHO) Cavite, Provincial Health Office (PHO) Cavite, Local Government Unit of Naic, Naic Rural Health Unit (RHU), PBSP ACCESS TB Project, health workers, partners, and the people of Brgy. Sabang for their active participation and support in making this initiative meaningful and impactful.
