Introduction: Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) continues its mission to improve public health, as demonstrated by its recent TB in the Workplace catch-up session with the Samahan ng mga Manggagawa at Manininda sa Palengke ng Kamuning (SaMMPalKa). This initiative, which took place on January 16 and 18, 2023, served as a follow-up to the capacity building workshop held in December 2022. With the participation of 21 dedicated members and officers of SaMMPalKa, this collaborative effort aims to strengthen workplace health practices through information dissemination, communication planning, and policy formulation.
Empowering the Workforce: CFI’s TB in the Workplace (TBWP) staff played a pivotal role as resource speakers and trainers during the catch-up session. Their expertise and guidance proved instrumental in empowering SaMMPalKa members to address tuberculosis (TB) effectively within their workplaces. The session delved into essential aspects such as knowledge dissemination, encouraging social and behavior change communication, and formulating policies that prioritize employee well-being.
