From community halls to classrooms and lighting up the night, Milagros, Masbate and Culion Foundation, Inc. united for World TB Day with a full-day activity in Brgy. Calumpang.
The morning session engaged senior citizens, TB survivors, household contacts, and other at-risk groups through discussions on TB and Paragonimiasis, survivor testimonies, and interactive activities like TB Bingo. Essential services such as consultation, patient enrolment, and sputum collection were also provided.
In the afternoon, Taisan High School hosted a school-based session where students learned about TB, HIV, TB-HIV co-infection, and proper nutrition. The โTagisan ng Brainโ quiz bee added an interactive and engaging learning experience.
The day concluded with RHU Milagros joining the Light Up PH activity, symbolizing the communityโs unity and commitment to end TB.
Together, through awareness, engagement, and service delivery, Milagros continues to take meaningful steps toward a TB-free future.
