As part of its ongoing TB community assessment and TB ACF monitoring in Masbate, the CFI team paid a courtesy call on the local chief executives of Milagros and Mandaon on February 20, 2026.
The discussions were fruitful and forward-looking, shedding light on critical gaps in TB service delivery, such as inadequate supplies of medications and laboratory materials. The meetings also covered a range of opportunities for deeper collaboration, including expanding partnerships to address leprosy care, providing TB Preventive Therapy (TPT) training for healthcare workers, and linking LGUs with CFI partners working on malnutrition and micronutrient supplementation.
CFI remains committed to working hand in hand with local government units in building stronger, more responsive health systems for every community.
