CFI TB ACF presents TPT Incentivization Program at TB Seminar for BHWs in Sorsogon
CFI, through Marvin Echalas, TB ACF Regional Team Leader for Region V, participated in the TB seminar for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) to discuss the incentivization program of the Foundation for TB Preventive Treatment (TPT). Mr. Echalas highlighted how these incentives can enhance community health efforts and prevent the spread of TB. Additionally, it was noted that the Rural Health Units (RHUs) in Sorsogon have not yet rolled out this program, underscoring the need for timely implementation to ensure that BHWs can effectively support their communities in TB prevention.
To empower the BHWs, CFI provided practical training on identifying high-risk individuals and effectively communicating the benefits of TPT. The session included interactive discussions to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge. By fostering collaboration among the BHWs, CFI aims to create a network of dedicated health workers who can actively contribute to reducing TB incidence in their communities.
