Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP)
  • Areas of Implementation: Camarines Sur, Leyte, General Santos City
  • The Institutional Strengthening on Data, Monitoring and Evaluation for the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) Through Data Quality Checks of FHSIS and OPT+ and Implementation of the Household Convergence Scorecard addresses the persistent challenge of malnutrition among Filipino children, tackling stunting, micronutrient deficiencies, and rising overweight and obesity. By leveraging national policies such as the First 1000 Days Law, the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Law, the Universal Health Care Law, and the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition, the project strengthens local nutrition programs, promotes healthy practices, and mitigates the impact of disasters on child nutrition. It aims to improve children’s health outcomes and ensure sustainable access to proper nutrition across vulnerable communities.
