The fight against tuberculosis (TB) took center stage during the Midyear Program Implementation Review held at CCT Kasanayan, Kalikid Norte, Cabanatuan City last July 5, 2023. The event brought together Center for Community Transformation (CCT), Cabanatuan City Health Office (CHO), and Culion Foundation Inc. to assess the impact of TB policies and programs within the cluster groups.

The review focused on crucial aspects of the TB policy, with special attention to the referral system to health centers. It also highlighted the commendable achievements of CCT, including a range of activities such as training of trainers, TB lectures, and a poster-making contest. Furthermore, the discussion highlighted the significance of TB 101 lectures within established fellowship groups of CCT.

Looking ahead, CCT is determined to strengthen their TB lectures by actively involving health centers and enhancing their referral system through close collaboration with the Cabanatuan City Health Office.

As the midyear review concluded, it became evident that the collective efforts of CCT, Cabanatuan CHO, and Culion Foundation Inc. are making significant progress in the battle against TB. By reinforcing the referral system, intensifying active case finding, and empowering the referral process, the project gains momentum in its mission to create a TB-free future for Cabanatuan City.
