More than fifty years ago, Fr. Javier Olazabal believed that education could change the course of a person’s life. Today, during Culion Foundation, Inc.’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on June 9, 2026, that belief lives on through the story of Lesdee Mae Jandoc Lupa-I, a student from Culion, Palawan.
As the first recipient of the Fr. Javier Olazabal Academic Excellence Award, Lesdee’s recognition is more than an individual accomplishment; it is a reflection of a legacy built on faith in the potential of every young person.
