On June 15, 2026, Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI) conducted an Active Case Finding (ACF) activity in Barangay Binanuaanan, Pili, Camarines Sur, bringing tuberculosis (TB) screening services closer to the community.
The initiative aimed to improve access to early TB detection, prompt consultation, and appropriate care, particularly for residents with limited access to healthcare services. By providing screening within the barangay, CFI helped make essential health services more accessible while encouraging early diagnosis and treatment to prevent the spread of TB.
Beyond screening, the activity also strengthened community awareness about the importance of early TB detection and timely treatmentโempowering residents to take an active role in protecting their health and the well-being of their families.
The activity was made possible through the collaboration of the Bicol Center for Health Development, the Provincial Health Office of Camarines Sur, the Local Government Unit of Pili, the Rural Health Unit of Pili, Barangay Health Workers, and PBSP ACCESS TB Project. Together, they continue to bring quality TB services closer to communities and advance the shared goal of a TB-free Philippines.
