Strengthening TB Prevention Services

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪: Day 1 of 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘉 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴: 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘛𝘉 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 (𝘊𝘐-𝘛𝘗𝘛), 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘶𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 (𝘛𝘚𝘛) is currently underway at St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Events Center in Tayabas City, Quezon.

The three-day training is being conducted and facilitated by the Culion Foundation, Inc. training team, bringing together healthcare workers for capacity building on TB contact investigation, TB preventive treatment, and tuberculin skin testing.

On Day 1, participants are engaging in training preliminaries, discussions on TB infection screening methods—including Tuberculin Skin Testing (TST) and Interferon-Gamma Release Assays (IGRA)—and hands-on TST administration.

The training continues as participants strengthen their knowledge and skills in TB prevention and contribute to efforts toward a TB-Free Philippines.
