Culion Foundation, Inc. proudly joined the World TB Day celebration in Batangas City, reaffirming its commitment to bringing TB services closer to communities through active case-finding, timely treatment, and preventive care.
During the event, Mr. Eugenio M. Caccam Jr., Executive Director, actively participated in ACF initiatives on the ground, sharing valuable expertise on tuberculosis to strengthen awareness and encourage early detection and care. Meanwhile, the ACF IV-A team presented an intermission performance and shared updates on the TB situation in Batangas, highlighting ongoing efforts and milestones.
The celebration also featured a collaborative medical mission with our partners from the University of Batangas and Batangas City Health Office, where health teams and medical-related students provided screening, consultation, TB education, and distribution of preventive medicines and materials to the community. This hands-on engagement allowed us to reach residents directly, ensuring they have access to essential TB services and information.
Our esteemed partners, the Department of Health – Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) IV-A NTP, Provincial Government of Batangas, Provincial Health Office, Provincial Department of Health, PBSP-ACCESS TB, and Macare Medicals Inc., engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing insights and addressing the concerns of local medical staff dedicated to combating TB.
Together, this collaborative effort underscores the shared commitment to protecting communities and advancing the fight against tuberculosis across the region.
