As part of its 50th Anniversary celebration, Culion Foundation, Inc. (CFI), in partnership with the Office of Senator Risa Hontiveros and the Rising Star Outreach, distributed school supplies to children and learners across Culion and Coron, Palawan, helping ensure they begin the school year equipped for learning.
The initiative benefited pupils from Baldat Elementary School, Culion Elementary School, Biong Elementary School, and Bulok-Bulokan Elementary School, while also reaching learners in Sitio Calatan, Barangay Halsey, and Coron, Palawan. Through the collective efforts of CFI and its partners, 900 students received essential learning materials to support their education.
For many families living in geographically isolated and underserved communities, purchasing school supplies can be a significant challenge. By providing these essential materials, the initiative helped ease the burden on parents while giving children the confidence and encouragement to pursue their education. More importantly, it reminded every young learner that their dreams matter and that they are supported by a community that believes in their potential.
For five decades, education has remained an important part of CFI’s mission to create opportunities and empower communities. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s enduring belief that investing in today’s learners is an investment in tomorrow’s leaders.
As CFI celebrates 50 years of service, it remains committed to working with partners who share the vision that every childโregardless of where they liveโdeserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
