CFI conducted a two-day Capacity Building program on Organizational Development, Leadership, and Financial Management Literacy for eight fisherfolk organizations in Coron, Palawan. The training featured an engaging blend of lectures, workshops, group discussions, SWOT analysis, financial literacy games, and presentations, providing fisherfolk leaders with valuable hands-on learning experiences. These interactive sessions enabled participants to review their organizational structures, update policies, and develop actionable business plans to strengthen their operations.
The program aimed to bolster the organizational and institutional development of fisherfolk associations, enhance leadership and entrepreneurship skills, promote biodiversity-friendly enterprises (BDFEs), and integrate CFI’s environment-livelihood projects with ASEDP financial services.
Through initiatives like this, CFI continues its commitment to empowering coastal communities toward sustainable and inclusive development.
