  • The Culion Foundation Inc. (CFI) is empowering People’s Organizations (POs) in Culion, Palawan to drive sustainable development. Leveraging a GCash-funded mangrove rehabilitation project, CFI builds the capacity of newly formed POs through workshops, equipping them with organizational and technical skills. These empowered POs subsequently partnered with CFI in implementing health caravans, feeding programs, and school supply distribution, ultimately fostering community ownership, self-reliance, and improved socio-economic conditions in Culion. The initiative aims to formally institutionalize POs as key partners in local governance and CFI’s ongoing and future projects.
